Shorting out was not my concern but defective wires or un insulated connectors and getting a little zap was getting annoyingThese are rated at KV, BUT! I would not trust insulated gloves made in China to be safe enough, and to have no pin holes, for that kind of workvac would be about the max I would trust them at.
Do not be fooled by coated tools or orange tools just because they have a coating or because they are the right color does not guarantee they are truly insulated tools.
